Gender World Campaign

The unveiling of the Gender World Logo took place at the Pre-Sixty-Third Session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the Arcade Suites, Plot 68, First Avenue, Shehu Shagari Way, Central Business District, Abuja, Nigeria on Thursday January 31, 2019.  The Session was hosted by Sure Smiles Women and Children Advocacy Initiatives and supported by the Intervention Council for Women in Africa, Africana Women Working Group at the United Nations.

Present at the event are national and international delegates numbering approximately three-hundred (300). The delegates include Ambassadors, Heads of Public/Civil Services, Wives of Service Chiefs in Nigeria, Permanent Secretaries, Directors and other high-ranking Officials of the Government of Nigeria, Chairpersons and Commissioners of Public Service Commissions, Non-Governmental Organizations, representatives of Statutory Institutions, the Academia and the private sector as well as Research Centers. Themed Social Protection Strategies for Nigeria Abused Women and Girls with the aim of streamlining the focus with a collective agenda towards the global presentation at the United Nations CSW 63 Session.

The overall objective of the Pre-CSW 63 was to streamline the focus on Social Protection Strategies for Nigeria Abused Women and Girls with a collective agenda for the Sixty-Third Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 63).
