The Gender World Institute for Policy formulation and Administration Studies in collaboration with The Federal Capital Territory Administration organized “A One Day Summit on Rape and the Girl Child” On 15th October, 2019 at Merit House Abuja. Paper presentations were delivered by various resource persons on
- The main theme: Curbing the Menace of Rape and the Girl Child: Recommendations for Action
- Sub-theme: Child rape in Nigeria: Implication on the Education of the Girl Child.
Participants at the event were the broking into groups to deliberate on the subject matter of Rape, its psychological impact on victims, its prevention, the role of advocacy, the role of law enforcement and legal frameworks to be adopted.
